Yum Paint Serum IV | Advanced 4-Year Ceramic Coating
Stepping up to a proper ceramic coating shouldn't be terrifying. A lot of pro-grade coatings out there cure so fast that if you blink, you are left with rock-hard high spots that need machine polishing off. Yum Paint Serum IV changes that. It is a genuine, high-solids ceramic coating built to last up to 4 years, but it has been formulated to give you a very forgiving flash time, meaning a competent home detailer can apply it safely in their own garage.
Once it cures, the results are exactly what you want from a high-end coating. It lays down a thick, durable glass-like barrier over your clear coat. This does two things. First, it locks in a ridiculous, dripping-wet candy gloss. Second, it creates insane surface tension. Water just fires off the paint, taking the dirt with it.
Because the surface becomes incredibly slick and hydrophobic, your weekly maintenance washes become so much faster. The dirt simply can't bond to the paint, drastically reducing the chances of you inflicting wash marring.
Why you need it on your paint
- Massive Durability: Provides up to 4 years of hardcore protection against UV fading, bird lime, and chemical etching when maintained correctly.
- Forgiving Application: Spreads smoothly and gives you a generous window to level it off before it tacks up, making it much less stressful to apply.
- Extreme Hydrophobics: Rainwater forms tight, tall beads that roll straight off the panel, giving you that satisfying self-cleaning effect on the motorway.
- Candy Gloss Finish: Leaves the paintwork looking incredibly deep and glassy, making metallic flakes really pop in the sun.

Pro Tip: Preparation is absolutely everything with a ceramic coating. The paint must be machine polished and entirely free of oils. Right before you apply Paint Serum IV, wipe every panel down thoroughly with a dedicated panel prep spray. When buffing the coating off, use two towels: a low-pile microfibre for the initial leveling wipe, and a plush towel for the final buff to catch any smears.
Note: Never apply in direct sunlight or on a hot panel. Work in small sections (like half a door or a quarter of a bonnet) at a time to ensure you can remove the residue before it cures hard.
