You've taken the time to properly wash you vehicle, applying a car wax is much like putting the icing on a cake, it's the final stage of the process that adds both gloss & depth to the paint whilst adding protection from the elements.

Car wax is probably the most well known form of paintwork sealant. Carnauba car waxes are made from a mix of pure natural carnauba blended with other proprietary waxes, polymers and solvents. This is because on in it's raw form carnauba is rock hard, so by blending it with other chemicals allows for the wax to be usable, allowing the carrier to evaporate off during use to leave behind the durable wax coating, that not only looks great but adds protection to your paint.

Different manufacturers of car wax use different levels of raw carnauba in their waxes, which once cured onto the paint, dry to form a tough water resistant layer, that repels water from the surface. The effect of this is your paint will be much easier to wash & dry and dirt and grime will find it harder to bond to the surface of the paint. Although not as durable as the next generation ceramic coatings, carnauba based car waxes are much easier to work with. They require less paintwork preparation and are much easier to apply and remove without the need for more specialist knowledge. Prior to applying a car wax, we just recommend using a pre-wax cleaner which will help remove any and waxes or bonded contamination on the surface of the paint. Then simply apply your choice of wax with a foam wax applicator before buffing off with a quality microfibre buffing towel.
