Professional 9H Ceramic Protection for Long-Term Paint Defence

Molecule 9H Ceramic Coating is a professional-grade, ultra-hydrophobic paint coating engineered to protect and enhance your vehicle’s finish for the long term. Formulated with a true 9H hardness rating, Molecule forms a durable, scratch-resistant layer that becomes the active protective surface on your paintwork.

Once cured, the coating delivers outstanding resistance against light scratches, swirl marks, chemical contamination, bird droppings, and harmful UV rays, while dramatically improving water repellency and surface slickness. The result is a finish that stays cleaner for longer and is significantly easier to maintain.

Molecule can be used as a stand-alone ceramic coating, offering up to 5 years of protection, or applied as a base layer for Nero Self-Healing Ceramic Coating, increasing overall durability and scratch resistance to up to 7 years. This makes it an ideal foundation for professional multi-layer coating systems.

Although designed to deliver true professional performance, Molecule remains exceptionally easy to work with. Its super-slick, wipe-on wipe-off application allows for efficient installs without compromising on finish quality—perfect for professionals and experienced enthusiasts alike.

As part of our Pro Range, Molecule and Nero Ceramic Coatings combine professional durability with user-friendly application. For best results, we recommend using our Panel Wipe Microfibres, specifically designed to remove excess coating cleanly and efficiently, improving workflow and saving valuable time during application.

Molecule 9H is one of those coatings we look at as a proper step up from traditional waxes and sealants. When we’re preparing paint properly and want durable, long-term protection with strong water behaviour, this is the kind of product we build the process around rather than treat as an afterthought.

From a technical perspective, it’s a true ceramic coating designed to bond to the surface and form a hard, chemically resistant layer. That 9H rating refers to surface hardness once cured, which helps improve resistance to light wash marring and environmental contamination. What we notice most in use is the hydrophobic performance — tight beading, fast sheeting, and noticeably easier maintenance washes afterwards.

In terms of finish, we find it enhances gloss and clarity rather than artificially darkening the paint. On well-corrected panels it adds that sharp, glassy look that suits modern finishes particularly well.

Not at all - this is one of the more forgiving Ceramic Paint Coatings available. The super slick application means it's easy to wipe on and wipe off, reducing the chance of application errors. The kit includes everything you need: a 30ml bottle with dropper, application block, and 5 cloths with detailed instructions.

The true 9H hardness rating means maximum scratch protection against everyday hazards like car washes, road debris, and minor abrasions. It also offers high chemical resistance, protecting your paintwork from bird droppings, tree sap, and other environmental contaminants that can cause permanent damage.

The ultra-hydrophobic properties make your car much easier to maintain. Water and dirt slide off more easily, meaning less frequent washing is needed. When you do wash your car, contaminants come off with less effort, and the super slick finish helps prevent new dirt from bonding strongly to the surface.
