What is the difference between the EC400 and the EC405?

The EC400 features a brushed motor and the EC405 features a brushless motor. Whilst slightly heavier the EC405 and its brushless motor offers more power and in turn more suction. Whilst the brushes can be changed on the EC400 the EC405 has the added bonus of being maintenance-free. Furthermore from the technical differences, the EC400 is finished in blue and the EC405 is finished in grey.

ShineMate Battery System

The added bonus with these vacuums is they run on the 18v rechargeable battery system found on the rest of the cordless ShineMate polishers, such as the ShineMate EB351 and ShineMate EB251. So if you have any of these tools in your kit, you can enjoy the flexibility of interchanging batteries, to keep you polishing or vacuuming for even longer!
