Beau Technique vs Honda FRV detail.

Post by scottbt » Sun Mar 13, 2011 1:28 pm

Thought I would post up a couple of recent works by Beau Technique.
First up. A little tricky one which was carried out on Tuesday. Vehicle in question was a Honda FRV which is a kind of cross breed people carrier type affair. The client had just had the wheels fully refurbished by wheelwork but wanted a deep clean of the interior and a damn good enhancement of the vehicles painwork. General prep without wheels cleaned was carried out. Arches / doorshuts were pre-soaked with Autosmart G101 and aggitated with soft brushes. Foamed with a mix of Autobright supa snowfoam and Meguiars all purpose cleaner, left to dwell. Whilst dwelling, all badges, knooks / crannies were aggitated with soft brushes then whole vehicle was rinsed thoroughly. Washed 2 bucket method with Meguiars microfibre wash mitts and Valetpro poseidons carnaba wash shampoo. Tar removal via Autosmart tardis, rinsed then clayed with yellow poly clay and Dodo Juice born slippy clay lube. Final rinse and dryed with Autosmart waffle towels and Autosmart tango as drying aid. The size of the vehicle and the want of cracking on with the job meant not much more than a few during and after pics unfortunately. All polishing works were carried out with a multitude of pads and polish combinations due to the paint being very soft and substantially sticky.

Interior was tackled by Geoff with much indepth gusto. Meguiars all pupose cleaner, Autosmrt G101 ( reformulated version ) various brushes and a damn good vac achieved this...

Here is the element of correction achieved...

Quite good for 1-2 sets on each panel, giving great clarity and reflections.

Some areas were hologramming so easily so a slower and leser aggresive pad / polish combination approach were tried and became much succesfull.

Holograms in the bright sunshine...

Some deeper RDS were tackled and came quite good with very little remaining.

After...

As you can see after a session with the typical set up of 3M yellow polishing pad and Scholl concepts S17+ I needed to get a far more level look and crisper finish so 3M black finnesse it pad and Scholl cocncepts S40 were used. A few tweeks here and there gained great success. Tyres / arches / trim dressed, wheels sealed, glass sealed and so on. Protection of the day was Autobright AB carnauba paste wax.

And thats the end of that chapter...

Another booking from the client will see Beau Technique tackle a full paint correction and interior deep clean on a nice solid black Porsche 997 starting a week on Moday so keep em peeled

Thought it was an unusual vehicle to see from you. The last sentence clears that up.

Fantastic turnaround, but then that is the standard you always present.

Seeing lots of mentions of the Scholl gear

Hope the client was pleased.

Cheers Chris. I will work on everything and anything. Im sure somewhere on here there is a short fun write up on a Fiat / Hymer motorhome we did. Also tackled static caravnas and private light aircraft so up for anything as the saying goes
Scholl, well its the perfect polsih range tbh. If no ones trie it, they need to before they die. They will be missing out on taking the finish that step further imo.

Keep em pealed Rob. Usual ones seen are metalic grey, red or basalt metalic black. This beauty is solid black, no messing, so it has to be right and will look awesome once fully corrected. Im quite confident on that one.

You not like it mark
Ive always thought they are quite a funky vehicle. 6 seats and a large bott rather than fold up seats and barely any boot.

Cheers all.

I do like them Scott , it's just that you get alot of these type of vehicles getting mauled to death by kids with sweets , biscuits and sick , too nice for that ,

Just corrected this. Worlds biggest mistake. The next one is a 997. Whoops!
