I'm sure Halfords used to sell a specialist spray for plastics (plastikote ?) , B&Q may even sell it . What are you driving now ? Do you still have the lovely Daimler ?

Mark thanks for the reply, im way out of the old detailing these days due to illness and old age ….but I have to revamp my Honda CRV to have an electric hoist installed for my Scooter...…
it looks like the repaint job is the way to go, it wont have a lot of bashing about so its the easiest option,
The surrounds are wood so the old satin black will suffice in that dept....then the hoist can be installed easier painted than faff about masking and stuff …..I will try for the plastic paint, I was contemplating having the panels wrapped but the cost and small areas are too fiddly...….there is no customer finish to worry about only my own selections......nice to see the forum is still progressive, I even found some Permanon so I will give that a try it certainly make washing easier, but the Daimler is still getting the old Supernatural Hybrid to make it look good ……..20 years old now and still only just reached 50,000 miles …..but to detail it takes a week now just to polish out the final top wax when I used to do a whole job in a day...…...oh for the energy of a few years ago

Sorry to hear of your illness , it's been very quiet on here for a while but I can't break the habit . Glad to hear the Daimlers still getting the love she deserves . Keep well .
