Ive read on here that a sealant doesn't work well on top of a wax but wax on a sealant is fine.

Is sealant on top of a glaze OK or would I be better off with wax?

More specifically FinishKare 1000P Hi-Temp Sealant on top of Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze or Poorboys blackhole.

The wax I have is FinishKare 2685 - Pink Wax and the three products above as well

Thanks

There are a couple of issues here....

sealants, generally speaking should be applied directly onto clean paintwork, with nothing beneath the sealant. Having said this, there are a few glazes which are engineered to be applied beneath a sealant which are made by the same manufacturer. Poorboys Blackhole and poorboys EX-P sealant is an example.

If you don't have a compatable product combo, you run the risk of the sealant failing very quickly. Therefore, it's a general rule of thumb for a wax to be placed over a glaze or a sealant.

FK1000p is a sealant, but in 'wax paste' form. Having not tried the combination of the Glaze beneath it, there could possibly be some compatability issues....and I hope that some other forum member can chip in with their exxpertise.

Poorboys blackhole will work great under FK1000p

Here's an example

I very much doubt Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze will work under FK1000p or any other sealant because it's an old school "oily" product designed to work under waxes
