Here we go, then guys ...
The car was washed on Sunday and given a smear of Autobright Radiance with a spritz of Zaino Z8 a couple of hours later. I would have left it like that, but new stuff arrived today and I wanted to play
I decided to try out the new stuff on my usual "test panel" - the boot of the black convertible.
Here we are for starters with a slightly dusty surface that I sprayed a load of Autosmart Reglaze over and gently wiped over with a EuroW towel:

... after "waterless washing" a delicate paint like our black shows some light swirls which I know finishing polishes and SMRs get rid of an so I decided to see what Dodo Juice Lime Prime did for the surface. So, without further ado here's a
Dodo Juice Lime Prime Mini-Review:
I started with a good squirt which I thought would be sufficient for the whole boot in one go. It's too much and I should have done it in two stages, but the end result worked okay. I'm a fast worker and quite happy to rub away hard for a good few minutes. The boot is not a huge panel to be honest. Up and down, side to side, diagonal, in circles ... repeat ... repeat ... repeat until the product has gone clear and the initial scratchy sound has totally gone.

Yes, initially abrasive and quite vocal, but calms down after a short while. I find this product very much along the lines of Clearkote Red Moose Machine Glaze in terms of how it works and how it finishes up. I was left with very light marring all over the boot - something I do not get with Clearkote Vanilla Hand Moose Glaze or with any number of SMRs. Hmmm ... more suited to machine use, I think. Or, perhaps a less picky paint ... but I decided to try it out on black because I can see exactly what is going on.
I used the yellow side of a Sonüs Professional hand applicator and wonder if the black side might help finish it better. Something to try in future, then.
It made some distance into a couple of isolated light scratches and an odd etching:

... job done. Nice from afar and actually, you can't see the marring unless you really REALLY look:

What it needs is a finishing polish. I have a few but in a package that arrived today was a little bottle of Sonüs SFX3. You could almost imagine I engineered this treatment
Using the black side of a Sonüs Professional hand applicator I worked over the panel in two stages:

Done ... now we're ready for the Car Pride Liquid Wax. I know ... I know ... HURRY UP, DAMMIT!!!
Curious. I removed the top and removed the protective shield inside the top of the bottle for a sniff. Hmmm ... that's not at all evil and much along the lines of a Chemical Guys kind of scent. Fruity, but still artificial. I'm getting notes of proper Greek Ouzo in there
It might not be bad, then - certainly not laced with evil like much of Car Plan's older products.
I applied the product to the surface using a microfibre pad in little circles and had time to go over twice before the product started to dry. Nice, even finish we hope ...

Ten minutes, or so later it was well and truly passing the swipe test and ready to come off. This is the moment of truth - will is be rock solid and need polishing off?

No, not at all ... DEAD EASY

It wiped clean with almost no effort whatsoever
Done!

... but does it pass the PJGH test for deep, oil slick, shimmering shine?

I think it does
Will I use it again? Yes, of course.
Would I buy it again once finished? Probably not.
Can it be recommended? Yes, but ...
But? There are so many products that are of a better breed that achieve much the same that it's hard to say, "go out on a limb and back to Car Pride".
Surely that's unfair on Car Pride if it is a good product? Yes, it is, but that's what reputations do for a company.
Reputations? Yes. Car Pride do not have the best of reputations among more concerted car cleaners but i think they are changing quite dramatically at the moment. I would be keen to find more in the same range.
So, how good is it? Where does it sit on 'The Shelf of Evil'? Well, it sits right over here, well over in the "good" section just below Asda Car Polish. I need to try it on white and see how the gloss enhancers might work, but it is a good bottle of sealant all things considered.
Where Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 would get an 8/10 and Duragloss 105 a 9/10 compared to Asda Car Polish down at about 6/10, I have to give this a good 5/10. It is abundantly better than almost anything from the legacy range of products, pleasant to use but not quite a refined product yet.
