What is it?
http://car-chem.com/store/Wheel-Tyre-Ca ... eel-armour
£7.75 for 500ml

No, what is it?
It's a white liquid, sprayable ... for sealing wheels.

How do you use it?
Spray onto clean wheels, leave for 60 seconds "to soak in" :-k and buff up to a shine.

How did you use it?
Well, I'm gambling, but I think the snow is now behind us ... the last of it going this last week. I'm gambling because for the last couple of years we've had some at the end of April, but I think for the one or two days it might happen, it's best to get the winter tyres off and the summer rubber on the car.

I prepared the wheels with a spritz of Serious Performance Ultra Citrus Cleaner (any general purpose cleaner will do), a spritz of Car-Chem Tar & Glue Remover [bonus review, here] which is very good and put me well in mind of Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover but with a much shinier result afterwards. Next, Serious Performance Paint Cleanser, ready for the sealant and finally, spritz the sealant on ... 60 seconds ... buff ... done.

... trying to show the shininess after the Car-Chem Tar & Glue Remover.

... after the Alloy Wheel Armour has been applied and buffed.

Easy! Peasy!

... tyre dressing is Dodo Juice Supernatural Tyre Dressing.

... sorry about the muddy skirts, but after washing and drying, she popped out for something or other and I fitted the summer wheels upon its return. Typical

You get a sense of the brightness of the wheels anyway.

So, what do you think of it?
Easy to apply and certainly a nice shine. Time will tell as to its performance. The first wash will certainly show how it might fair.

9/10 ... straight-forward to apply, does exactly what it says on the bottle, doesn't "Wow!", but then I'm not sure what in a wheel sealant would wow.

It lasted through the summer months quite happily and I popped the wheels off at the end of October. I think around 4 months on average would be a reasonable figure to put on it.

I can't get too excited about wheel sealants but this one was spray and forget. It does dull slightly, but c'est la vie.

wow 4 months? Thats as much as a good paste wax on bodywork and we all know that wheels get treated to much harsher conditions, spinning all day long and brake dust and all.

Its a spray on product correct? Does it haze? or is it just spray and wipe?

Spray on, best wipe around to even up the application and wait about a minute. Wipe off the excess. Buff, if you like.
