CarPro ECH2o Concentrate

Post by Ash » Fri Apr 14, 2017 2:15 pm

OK looking at the bottle it's a waterless wash and quick detailer but it can also be diluted to be a rinseless wash.

As many of you way know I'm a big fan and user of Optimum-No-rinse which is for the most part a rinseless wash.

So today was a trial of ECH2O as a waterless wash  , a rinseless wash and as a QD.

As waterless wash I diluted it 1:15

As rinseless wash it was 2 oz to 2 gallons in a wash bucket with grit-guard

As a Quick Detailer 1:25

I must admit to never using a waterless wash before and never really liked the idea, but it would seem these are now often used as a detailing product .

I washed off light dirt on my bonnet and one door as a test. The result was very good with no marring or swirls .
The method is to spray the panel with a liberal amount of product, then wipe with a MF cloth going in straight lines but don't go back over the same area [-X . Then fold the cloth and repeat the wipe. After a couple of minutes a light haze will form, which should be lightly buffed off with a clean MF cloth, resulting in a very nice shine!

As a rinseless wash I just used my ONR technique with a Microfiber Madness Incredimitt . Again you do get a haze but nothing like when using the waterless dilution mix. So again a light buff does the trick in removing the haze and bring up a lovely shine. . I believe the haze is it adding a light layer of SiO2.
Compared to ONR it's a bit to early to say but I really light the result.

As a QD I'm very impressed and for now it will be the one I reach for at the end of any type of wash :D

Thanks for the review Ash. It's good to read an objective and unbiased review.

Nice one Ash, I only wish I could get away with a waterless or rinseless wash however, the dust from the track prevents this from being an option for me.

Anyway, we're not on a water meter :D

I can't see me using it much as waterless wash but it's good to have that option.

I've used it as a rinseless wash on both cars now and I can't believe how slick it feels. You can feel the very high lucubration between your fingers when there dripping wet with the solution

I used this as a rinseless wash today for the second time in the last few weeks.

I have to say for my summer use this is one up on ONR but I will not be using it in the winter as it's only mean't for lighter dirt, whereas ONR will take care of salt and much heavier muck.

Because of the SiO2 content it also seems to help with keeping the car cleaner between washes

It makes a good QD if you don't end up using it a a rinseless wash.

I only got this to see if can do the same job as ONR. It does but IMO it's not as good

Now using it as a QD and I may do the odd rinseless wash
