Given the success of Purple Haze, the soft wax for dark coloured cars, and Banana Armour, the first hard wax launched by Dodo Juice, it was only natural that a hard wax for dark coloured cars would follow. This is the result – a deep blue hard wax that gives an even deeper shine: Blue Velvet.

Had this on my car for about 4 weeks not and its still as fresh beading wise as day one. I was begining to think it wasn't up the the hypes look wise but in the winter light its hard to tell. Just come back from a days tuition on the dual action and after some 106FA correction on my Leon bonnet it was then Lime Primed and half the bonnet was sealed with the Blue Velvet and the other with the famous Zymol Concours. Little did I know how well it was going to stand up against it. Look wise you could not tell the difference even to the trained eye. Then came the beading test light misty rain produced tight small beads in which you couldn't tell the difference again. It was only when it started raining more that the Zymol started to take the edge on sheating in which the beads of water were sheating off about 4inchs higher making the Zymol slightly slicker. You would have to look very closely to see this. So thats how good the Blue Velvet is against something thats over hyped and expensive (£164) to be exact. Just hope it last as well. Great wax which cuts way above its price tag
