Meguiars Grit Guard - Preventing swirl marks is one of the biggest challenges in caring for today’s delicate clear coat finishes. Grit Guard® helps prevent swirl marks inflicted during the wash process when small particles of dirt and debris are rubbed across the surface of the paint.
Each time you dunk your wash mitt into the bucket to get more suds, rub it against the Grit Guard®. This will help remove the dirt and leave it at the bottom of the bucket.
The Grit guard is also a prerfect fit for the 3.5 US Gallon bucket, making this the ideal way to clean your car.

I've now got 2 of these buckets with grit guards and they really do a great job. Larger buckets are available from other brands but these are a perfect size for carrying and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

These buckets are very sturdy even when brimmed with water. The grit guards fit well, and do a good job. Might seem costly, but they are high quality, and great to use.

Very well made bucket and guard! Good thick plastic and strong handle. Must admit I had a few doubts before it arrived as to how good it would be, but it's defo worth the cash. I can see this lasting for years no problem.

A great idea and i'm glad i picked one up. Great for rubbing your mitt over to get rid of dirt before you dip it back in the soapy water. Only have the one at the moment but a second wont be far behind!
