Hi, am I right in thinking that Meguiars ultimate liquid wax is actually a sealant and not a wax?

If so is it worthwhile applying a carnauba wax on top of it?

Also can the Megs liquid wax be applied with a DA or is it best to do it by hand?

Thanks.
Bez.

You would be correct...it's not a wax, but 100% synthetic so it is a sealant. This is just a typical american use of jargon...just like Zaino call their Z2 sealant a polish :?

Megs recommend that a superior result can be achieved by applying it with a machine polisher...mainly because it can be spread thinly, evenly and worked into the paintwork beneath it.

As for a wax applied over the top of the sealant...this is very much a personal preference to achieve a different 'look'. However, just ensure that the wax doesn't have 'cleansing properties', as this may strip off the sealant beneath it. I recall that one Autoglym wax does this.
