Hi all,

I have a BMW 520D (F10) which unfortunately comes standard with a black chrome exhaust due to it being an M Sport model. It's about 3 years old and has some wear around the tip of the exhaust and just wanted some advice on how to get it back to a decent standard?

Previously having stainless steel/chrome pipes, I've used metal polish with wire wool which comes up great but due to this being black chrome I'm scared of damaging the paint etc. I've contacted BMW and apparently they are the only pipes they do for that model.....So if the clean don't work I'll end up getting an aftermarket one fitted I think.

Any help/advice appreciated!
Cheers!

Autosol, put your finger in a clean micro fibre and put a spot on, work gently at first on a small discreet area to ensure you're not doing any damage and take it from there.

hmmmmmm the pipe sizes are pretty generic on bmws, i have an E91 which has two pipes side by side, the covers (which they are) just pull off with a lot of effort on the E9x models, check on a forum but i'd be tempted to say the silver non M sport ones would fit.... but as i say, check.
