So last weekend I washed my new F56 Mini Cooper S, then used Autoglym Super Resin polish followed by Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. In doing so I accidentally got a bit of SRP (and probably a bit of EGP too) on the black plastic arches and trim.

So I went around with Autoglym Bumper Gel afterward (as that was recommended on the label of the SRP) and all looked much better - no sign of the white SRP residue.

However, I've snow foamed the car since, and rinsed it off and as it's starting to dry, I can see dodgy smear marks all over the plastic arches and trim.

Any recommendations on how to restore the proper appearance of the plastic trim so it doesn't have weird smear marks all over it every time I clean the car again?

Pencil eraser will remove the mark and then treat to whatever finish you like with whatever product you like :D

A magic sponge works well and as said use a sealer (of choice)
