What is it?
http://car-chem.com/store/Car-Care-Exte ... lish-500ml
£9.99 per 500ml

No, what is it?
It's a pre-wax cleanser. No abrasives. Just a pre-wax cleanser capable of de-waxing, de-contaminating and setting up the surface for a wax.

How do you use it?
You squirt a little out onto a pad and massage it into the paint. Easy, eh?

Easy? Sounds it ... any issues?
Well, yes.

I used this on our black SAAB 900 Convertible, 1992 vintage, which is single stage paint. This product leaves shadows in the paint.

Used according to the instructions, massaged into the paint and removed when hazed ... shadows. Much akin to Meguiars NXT Tech Wax/#21. This is easier to remove those shadows, though; just go over with the pad and they're gone.

Another method ... not described is to use it like Meguiars #7, massaging in and removing immediately. That worked.

Remember, I'm working on single stage paint here. Clearcoated paint may well be very different.

But, is it any good ... even with a refined technique?
Yes. It is very good!

It cleans. It cleans well. It prepares the surface really well and if I'm not mistaken, that shadowing in the paint is the oils in the polish. It has some swirl negating technology in there, cleans and sets up the surface for wax just perfectly. It's along the lines of Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite in many respects.

The glazing properties maximises glossy wetness, especially when used with a neutral wax.

How do you rate it?
8/10

8/10 because it's a good product and certainly up there with all manner of good pre-wax cleansers, like Dodo Juice Lime Prime/Lite. It's not up there with Dodo Juice Micro Prime (10/10) not Car-Lack68 NSC (10/10) but it's good.

The juice is worth the squeeze.
