Dodo Juice's rinseless wash.

Dilution is something like 1:200 and unscientifically, I used 10 capfuls in my bucket. The blurb on the back recommended 6-8 for a small bucket and 12-16 for a large, so 10 seemed good for a middling bucket.

You can use a wash mitten or sponge. I used a Dodo Juice long haired Supernatural mitten AKA the Wookie Fist.

This mix is lubricious!

The mitten glided over, picking up dirt, flip over and go back over. At this point you're supposed to just pat dry with a microfibre towel and enjoy the clean, dry, gleaming surface ... move onto the next panel. I rinsed it down and enjoyed the re-beading of the product below and patted the whole car down with a drying towel at the end.

I have to say, I am impressed with this product. It does say that it is to be used on a lightly soiled car, but I don't see why you couldn't use it on a very dirty car, pre-rinsed.

Some Low on Eau ... or ONR?

I should point out that I happily use Low on Eau (and presumably could, ONR) with a sheepskin mitten. The rinse bucket gets so much dirtier than it does with traditional shampoo, I know the formula picks up the dirt and dumps it when then the mitten is immersed in water.

I have been scathing about ONR in the past (peculiar, since I love other Optimum products) but wonder now whether I was treating it more like a QD and not just lathering the stuff over the car. At the time, the trend seemed towards washing a panel with a flat sponge, then drying with a microfibre towel. That, in itself turned perfection into a mass of swirls. More liquid, treating it exactly like a regular shampoo, even rinsing (erm ... "no rinse"?) is fine. Dry off as you do and carry on about your day.

I've been happily converted by Low on Eau and may well give ONR another go with a renewed method.

Fortune favours you, Ash ... I've got a brand new bottle which flew through the cat flap today, and a dog end not quite enough for a big old SLAB of a 9-5, but may well suit a wee Pug. Send me your address if you want it, pal.
